What kinds of roles does Candid support?

Candid specializes in engineering, product, and design (EPD) as well as go-to-market (GTM) roles. We can also support other functions on request. The system is built to handle high-bar, hard-to-fill positions where generic sourcing tools fall short.

How does Candid learn my hiring bar?

You start by sharing your role preferences, ideal candidate signals, target companies, deal breakers, a job description, and ideal candidates. Your talent engineer then aligns with you on what the ideal profile looks like.

From there, Candid reviews a sample of real profiles with you to calibrate quickly on what clears the bar and what doesn't. The whole process is painless, and you can recalibrate or make further changes anytime. Every hiring signal after that, from outreach engagement to interview outcomes, continues to sharpen the model automatically.

How does Candid source candidates?

Once calibration is complete, Candid searches 1B+ talent profiles across LinkedIn, GitHub, and our own opt-in talent network. Every candidate is scored against your calibration rubric, role preferences, company preferences, and deal breakers, as well as deeper signals like career trajectory, outcomes, and overall fit. Only those that clear a high bar are surfaced, each with a detailed scorecard.

Qualified candidates are then automatically moved into personalized outreach campaigns. New candidates are sourced continuously, so coverage compounds over time without sacrificing quality.

How does outreach work?

Candid runs personalized, multi-step outreach campaigns across email and LinkedIn. Every message is written in your team's voice and tone, grounded in each candidate's background, career arc, and fit for the role.

Across candidates, Candid varies the selling points, positioning the role and opportunity differently to test what resonates. Each follow-up is uniquely personalized, highlighting new angles and adjusting based on engagement signals.

If a candidate asks questions, Candid answers them automatically using available context. When a candidate expresses interest, Candid handles scheduling directly, coordinating with your team's calendar to book the interview.

How does scheduling work?

When a candidate expresses interest, Candid notifies you in Slack to confirm you'd like to move forward. Once confirmed, Candid sends the candidate a scheduling link that syncs with your team's calendar availability. The candidate picks a time, and the meeting is booked automatically with a calendar invite and video link.

If the candidate needs to reschedule or cancel, Candid handles that on your behalf, updating your calendar and notifying participants without any manual coordination.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Candid is SOC 2 Type II compliant with bank-grade encryption at rest and in transit. Granular permissions let you control access by role. Your candidate data, preferences, and hiring signals are fully isolated and never shared across customers. All outreach is sent directly from your own connected mailbox, not a third-party sending service.
